It's that time of year. Fireworks time! While they may be a joy to watch with the kids, your dogs think otherwise. PLEASE be prepared: 1. Check your dogs tags and microchip information for accuracy. Make sure collars are properly fitting and can't slip off, especially after the spring shedding. 2. ALWAYS take your pets out on leash after dark, even in a secure fenced yard. You would be amazed what pets can do when they are scared beyond reason. 3. Make sure your pet has a spot they feel safe in. This could be a bathroom, basement, or simply a crate with soft bedded. NEVER try to pull a pet out of their safe spot when they are scared. Let them stay in it until the "threat" subsides. 4.
